About MotionReach

A web agency built by a studio owner who got sick of web agencies

I am Ben Davies. I have spent fourteen years in the fitness industry and eight years building websites for my own businesses. MotionReach exists because I got tired of watching great personal trainers stay invisible online.

My background

I have lived this problem from both sides

I have worked in large chain gyms, trained clients as an independent self-employed personal trainer, and run a studio with ten trainers. I built the software to run that studio, and I built the websites for my own companies, including Elevate LDN, a personal training studio in the City of London, benblakedavies.co.uk, and the golf fitness brand Front Nine Fitness.

Those sites now rank on page one for competitive London search terms, including number one for Prenatal Personal Training London and number one for Golf Personal Trainer London. That kind of visibility does not happen by accident.

The field of dreams problem

Most fitness websites are built on what I call the field of dreams approach: build something that looks good and wait for the leads to arrive. The best sales copy is useless if nobody reads it. Google does not care about the lovely photoshoot pictures. It cares about content, site structure, speed and legitimacy.

How I work

Like any good training programme

Set behavioural goals, monitor the outcome goals, and iterate when they are not being met. The process starts before any design work begins.

  1. 01

    Onboarding that captures the business

Every new client goes through a structured onboarding that captures their service list, locations, brand voice, and the keywords they think they want to rank for. Those keywords are then validated against real search volume using AI and DataforSEO, so the site is built around terms people are actually using, not terms that just feel right.

  2. 02

A voice profile that sounds like you

A separate voice capture asks you to record short spoken answers to specific questions. The system analyses those recordings to build a voice profile, and all articles and copy are generated against that profile. One trainer at my studio described the output as creepy how much it analysed, and he meant it as a compliment, because it picked up how he actually spoke.

  3. 03

    Live data, then iterate

Once a site is live, the work continues. A combined data layer pulls from Google Analytics, Search Console, PageSpeed Insights and DataforSEO to find which terms are generating impressions and clicks, where competitors are winning, and the blog topics most likely to support your core pages.

Why it matters

Two stories that sum it up

Found through ChatGPT

A journalist working on a piece about glute strength research needed an expert source. She found one by asking ChatGPT, which surfaced a personal trainer from my studio's website. The story ran. It was not a massive news channel, but it was a direct result of the site being structured so AI agents could extract the right information cleanly, without ingesting the whole site.

Creepy, in a good way

When building voice profiles for the trainers at my studio, one trainer went through a short questionnaire and recorded a one-minute voice clip. Within five minutes the process had generated a profile that analysed how he wrote and spoke with enough accuracy that he called it creepy. He meant it as a compliment. Seeing yourself accurately reflected back that quickly is what makes the voice profile concept real for trainers who are sceptical about AI-generated content.

Skin in the game

Proven on my own businesses first

Technology built for personal trainers, by a tech-savvy personal trainer. Every method here was proven on my own businesses before I offered it to anyone else. These are three I built and run, and the positions they hold today.
